Product description
Hans Christian Andersen (Odense, April 2, 1805 - Copenhagen, August 4, 1875) was a Danish poet and storyteller. Andersen was considered the king of fairy tales, who understood the speech of flowers and the language of birds, the whisper of the wind and the roar of the storm. He belonged to the generation of fairy tale writers and fairy tale collectors who saw it as their task to collect the fairy tales of their people, just like the Brothers Grimm or Elek Benedek. Several generations have grown up on his tales, and the Hungarian reading public is also familiar with countless of his tales. The four-volume collection amounts to nearly 1,500 pages and presents almost all of his tales.
