Szeged, 1980. Vera is in the fourth grade of primary school, a good student, a good athlete. Dad works in the national defense, and mom waits for him every day after school. But Vera's life, which she believed to be safe, changes in the course of a few weeks. One event leads to another, as if dominoes are falling one after the other, yet it is impossible to know what will start the chain of events. What turns him fatally against his former best friend? Why is it so good and at the same time scary to spend more and more time with Józef, the new Polish boy? And why do adults have secrets if Vera is expected to always tell the truth?

Krisztián Grecsó's new novel is about how revealing family secrets is not only a matter of knowledge, but also of courage. Vera realizes: there are situations when we have to act like adults ahead of time. And that you can grow up to the task.
