Product description
The Galaxy Fantastic Books series has reached its four hundredth volume, so it's time for another festive anthology. This time, our selection presents the diversity of Hungarian fantastic literature through the same number of writings by twenty-two contemporary authors. Science fiction, fantasy and weird - as it is on the front page of our magazine every month, we can use these words here as theme designations. With the greatest emphasis, as always, on SF.
Spaceships, robots and dimension gates shine on the surface of the novels, and in the deeper layers artificial intelligence, colonization, climate change and genetics are all relevant problems that concern many people in reality. Is humanity worth the bright future that awaits it, or is its development drowning in dystopia and apocalypse? There are so many questions to which it is not our job to give answers, the task of such an anthology is to raise valuable thoughts and encourage the search for answers.
Twenty-two exciting, heartbreaking or even inspiring writings in a more philosophical, sometimes more adventurous style. Among the authors, there are audience favorite big guns awarded with the Péter Zsoldos and Monolit, Attila József and Tibor Déry awards, and even internationally recognized, as well as promising newcomers, but their goal is the same: to entertain and make you think. A full roster follows as a teaser, but the real fun starts inside, between the covers. Up for reading!
