George R. R. Martin - Wild Cards 2. - Égi ászok

In 1946, an alien virus transcribing human DNA was released in the airspace of New York. Ninety percent of those infected died, most of the survivors were bizarrely disfigured. And since then, a handful of people have superhuman abilities...
The series, set in the Wild Cards universe, is a chronicle of the time that has passed since then, of heroes (aces) and misfits (jokers); we follow them now in the turbulent 1980s. The second book, Aces of the Sky, is a novel of alien invasion. The great masters of fantasy and science fiction - including George R.R. Martin, Roger Zelazny, Pat Cadigan, Lewis Shiner and Walter Jon Williams - take care of the exciting twists and turns.

Universal Cable Production is making a TV series from the fantastic world of Wild Cards.
