George R. R. Martin - Fire and vér (2022)

Several centuries before the events of Game of Thrones, House Targaryen - the only dragon lord family to survive the doom of Valyria - conquered the remaining kingdoms of Westeros from Dragonstone. Fire & Blood picks up the thread of the story from the creator of the Iron Throne, Aegon the Conqueror, and predates the fateful events of Westeros up to the civil war that almost destroyed the dynasty.
What really happened during the Dance of Dragons? Why did Valyria become such a deadly place after Doom? Where did Daenerys' three dragon eggs come from? These and many other important questions are answered in the unmissable chronicle written by a learned master of the Citadel, which is enriched by more than eighty illustrations. Readers have already had a glimpse of some details of the story, but now the Targaryen history full of intrigue, kin murders, devastating battles and, of course, dragons is being revealed in its entirety in the pages of Fire & Blood.
From George R.R. Martin's large-scale chronicle, HBO made a series called House of Dragons.
