FREEWELL Adjustable ND filter gray 82mm ND4-ND32 FW-82-STD

The Freewell adjustable ND filter in grey, with an 82 mm thread, combines a variable ND filter with a Mist diffusion filter. It lets you control light across a range of 2 to 5 stops (ND4 to ND32), so you can adjust exposure from overcast skies to bright daylight without swapping filters.

The Hard Stop mechanism limits the rotation to this range, which avoids the cross-polarization effect often seen with classic variable ND filters. The filter is made from high-resolution optical glass with a 18-layer multicoating, and an additional surface coating helps protect against dust, scratches and fingerprints.

The Mist layer softens light sources and gives footage a film-like character without losing significant detail. It suits video productions as well as creative portrait and outdoor photography. With lenses of 16 mm focal length and longer, no vignetting occurs.
