FOMALHAUT Történetek a Tavernából - Kalandmodul collection
3 690 Ft
Product description
An adventure collection made for the Hungarian-language role-playing game of 2023, perhaps the most anticipated.
"From the mysterious secrets of the mountains of Kassadia to Fomalhaut located among the distant stars, from the Realm of Dreams that exists beyond time and space to the fabled tiger-walking region of the East, and from the civilization hiding dark secrets to the dangerous wilderness, this volume guides its readers. What do we do with a tyrant who can take a life with a single move? What should we do when we realize that our existence is just a dream? How can we free the fifteen Kassádian Worthy Mages from the clutches of the Underworld? Should we help a nobleman who made a deal with the swamp witch so that he could have a child? Is there a return from the ghostly lighthouse, whose darkening has lured so many ships into the waves? Should we descend into long-abandoned mines to find some missing miners? What should we do if the world completely turns upside down after a meteorite impact? Shall we help the Pao family save their village from the dangerous murderous beast? How can we free an old friend from slavery? Such and similar questions can be answered by the players if they are brave enough to participate in the adventures of this volume, which were prepared by the members of the OSR Taverna community as a thank you to Gábor Lux."
Tales from the Tavern is a collection of adventure modules created by nine authors for the release of Swords and Sorcery. The material was first produced as a tribute volume and a personal gift in the OSR Taverna group (I received a single printed copy), and now it is also available in print form. This is a real honor (in the scientific world, it is very rare for one to prepare for a 60th birthday, and not for everyone), but the materials in the volume did not only give me pleasure for the right of the gesture. The adventures have stood the test of time on the real gaming table and fit well with EMDT's philosophy - the foreword promises "game-inspiring, maximally user-friendly" materials, and it delivers on that promise. Behind the uniform foundations lie very diverse author's visions, which clearly show the creativity of the Hungarian old-school community - among the materials we can find a complex situation-oriented adventure, a mini-module that adapts the gameplay of K&M to a different world, dreamlike and fantastic scenarios, and full-blooded adventure fantasy. In other words, everyone can find what they are looking for in this selection. The cover and interior illustrations were made by Ferenc Fábián.
The printed edition of the adventure consists of a 72-page, A4 booklet, with cover and interior illustrations by Ferenc Fábián (Fefe).
