FOMALHAUT Kard and Mágia - Mesélői Irányelvek 2. edition

2023 is perhaps the most anticipated book for storytellers of the Hungarian-language role-playing game, which is perhaps unmatched internationally!

"The crown is a heavy burden! In role-playing games, the role of storyteller comes with the most responsibility, since it is a trying challenge to entertain a whole group of players from time to time, to challenge them, and to constantly show them something new. But all is not lost: the skills and techniques required for storytelling are not at all difficult to acquire with a little practice, and then perfected during continuous play. All it takes is a vivid imagination, sound judgment, and a dose of ambition.

This volume offers help in the fulfillment of ambitions with guidance that emphasizes the practical side of game management and well-proven techniques, and with an approach based on the principles of player freedom of decision, storytelling creativity, and fast and open gameplay. The book not only provides advice, but also provides an ample toolbox both during preparation and at the game table: with procedures that facilitate storytelling, descriptions of monsters and magic items, random generation tables, and inspirational materials that promote storytelling creativity."

This 268-page, hardcover volume is a reference book for game management, adventure creation, and game world and campaign design that fits the rules of Sword and Sorcery, but is also useful in other fantasy role-playing games. The publication focuses on the practical side of refereeing and well-proven techniques. It also includes descriptions of many monsters and magical items, as well as a bunch of random tables and inspiration material to help the storyteller.
