Product description
The villages and logging camps along the great river are abuzz with reports of marauding bands of blue goblins and barges laden with booty. The tough and tried-and-tested people of the border region are powerless, because the attackers' homestead is protected not only by hundreds of spears and bows, but also by the unclimbable precipice of a breathtakingly high waterfall. Their cave system is an impregnable fortress, but where an army would fail, a smaller force may have a roll. However, countless forms of danger await the unwary and the weak on the mountain paths of the waterfall and in the caves that open inside it - and who knows who will be carried away by the bloody foam of the Melonath Waterfall!
This is 4-6. adventure module for level 1 adventurers takes you into the cave systems of a cliff face behind a huge waterfall. The publication is an insight into classic Gygaxian adventure planning, written by one of its most experienced connoisseurs, Trent Smith. At first, the location is reminiscent of the monsters of Keep on the Borderlands, but its combat situations and environmental challenges represent a much tougher task and are recommended for prepared groups of players. Victory is by no means guaranteed, which is why winning it is a significant weapon. However, the adventure attracts attention not only with its difficulty, but also with its hidden connections, mysteries waiting to be discovered, intrigues and adventure threads that lead back to civilization: real material rich in content.

The adventure was prepared for the first No Artpunk community module writing competition in 2021, and it won second place out of 19 applicants (the winning adventure, in the Web of the Past and Present, was previously published by EMDT). Prince of Nothing, the contest announcer and judge, wrote the following in his review: “This is a deep, tactically complex, detailed and fantastic location waiting to be explored. Ingenuity and caution are rewarded, and stupidity is punished. Complications, subtle details, ramifications and complexity are everywhere. Both the general structure of the adventure and the series of encounters that fit into it are intelligently designed. (…) This is a fantastic and outstanding monster.
The printed edition of the adventure consists of a 36-page handy A5 booklet and a map sheet with story maps, a cover by Cameron Hawkey, illustrations by Ferenc Fábián (Fefe), Vincentas Saladis, Graphite Prime, the Dead Victorians and the Robot Masters.
