Product description
The Lost Valley of Kishar is the first-placed adventure of the 2018 jubilee Sword and Magic module writing competition.
Somewhere, barely a day or two away from a busy trade route, there is a valley right in the middle of undisturbed wilderness. It is surrounded by a ring-shaped rock wall that is unnaturally steep and high, as if it had been shaped by hands. No one remembers who originally built the ruins in the valley and who took care of the miracle-working tree, to which pilgrims from far away once came. The names of Kishar's priestesses have faded into oblivion - but the blessed radiance of the Tree remains. As if bewitched, all kinds of animals and beasts moved into the Valley and its sphere of attraction, and in time others came too. People who have come from further away than anyone would imagine and have been here longer than the first priestesses…
The Lost Valley of Kishar is the first-placed adventure of the 2018 jubilee Sword and Magic module writing competition. The Lost Valley of Kishar offers a series of meaningful, imaginative and exciting game situations. In the module, the characters set out to explore a strange valley - and find themselves faced with a series of intriguing mysteries. The adventure is based on the traditions of "lost world" novels (from Rider Haggard to Robert E. Howard - dinosaurs, civilizations cut off from the world, wild beauties with rich limbs, the ruins of a more advanced prehistoric past) and puts together an action-packed adventure. Each of the basic situations (adventure ideas) has an interesting twist or conflict, which partly requires the player's problem-solving ability and partly requires moral consideration - and the resulting decisions will be both memorable and weighty, with meaningful consequences.
The printed edition of the adventure consists of a handy A5 booklet.
