FNIRSI GD-02 color-screen combustible gas detector

The FNIRSI GD-02 is a combustible gas detector that measures methane, propane and isobutane. It suits checks on gas appliances, stoves, water heaters, furnaces, gas fireplaces, LPG cylinders and equipment in motorhomes. The measuring range runs from 0 to 50,000 ppm (CH₄) and from 0 to 100% LEL, so both minor leaks and genuine explosion hazards can be detected. The resolution is 1 ppm or 1% LEL.

Response is fast: the sampling time is about 0.5 seconds, the T90 response time under 5 seconds and the T10 recovery time under 10 seconds. The 2-inch IPS colour display clearly shows ppm and %LEL readings, temperature in °C or °F, humidity and operating status. Curve mode plots concentration changes in real time, which helps with diagnosis and locating leaks.

The flexible 36 cm probe rotates to reach hard-to-access spots such as gaps, corners and areas behind appliances. Three alarm types (visual, audible and vibration) and storage of up to 30 alarm records add to its usefulness. An LED flashlight, backlight and a 1500 mAh battery complete the design.
