Product description
The primary goal of the game is to prevent the awakening of the chosen Immeasurable Elder by collecting a certain number of elder signs by successfully completing the tasks and locations in the museum and outside the world. Each location has several tasks, all of which must be successfully completed in order to receive the rewards for the location. The tasks show certain sides of the dice, which we have to throw successfully in a limited number of attempts. First, we select the task to be completed at the chosen location, and then we roll the six green dice. If the roll is successful, the dice are placed on the corresponding figures of the completed task and the remaining dice are used for the next task. If the roll was unsuccessful, you can roll again, but with one less die as a penalty. This lasts until we complete all the tasks successfully or fail, for which we naturally suffer losses.
In the case of successful completion, our reward can be several useful items, spells - with which you can usually set aside already rolled dice for later use, an ally or, if lucky, an ancient sign. These are all vital to success, as some locations require a successful roll with all six or even all eight dice. In addition, the inevitable monsters, which when they appear, appear as extra tasks in each location, and the passage of time means constant pressure, after every fourth round (midnight) a new modifying factor comes into effect, which in most cases results in additional difficulties.
So the investigators have no easy task. Although the gameplay based on rolling the dice may seem to be dominated by luck, tactics, the use of objects, extra dice, and re-rolling play at least as important a role.
