Eve Rodsky - Fair play
Product description
Recommended by Reese Witherspoon:
"Useful handbook and quick help for solving family problems."
It all started with the to-do list. Eve Rodsky suddenly felt that she was tired of being a "motherly" parent, unable to bear the responsibility of family and household chores alone. At that time, he wrote down a long list of unpaid, invisible, and therefore unappreciated, household chores. After making the invisible visible, she handed the to-do list to her husband. Because he wanted to save their marriage, since this was not the life he imagined for them. How well it started! He found his true partner, together they overcame the obstacles in their way, they contributed half to everything in their relationship. They got married, then the children were born... and everything changed.
With the contribution of many female partners, wives, and mothers, the list was expanded, and the book Fair Play was born out of it, a game that can be played with a partner in a figurative sense. The goal is to re-establish balance and find our old self, to rediscover our inherent creativity. This is the only way a person can make use of his abilities, which are important parts of his self beyond his role as a spouse and parent.
Fair Play approaches the division of labor within the family according to a new way of thinking, creating solution-based, sustainable change. It's also refreshingly entertaining. And it works!
Law graduate Eve Rodsky created a philanthropic aid organization based on her experience as a consultant and mediator. During his more than a decade of work, he consulted with hundreds of families, and with his strategy, he still helps to create new systems of home life and to create a balance in relationships. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and their three children.
