Wide color gamut – ideal for processing and printing RAW images

The wide color range of our monitors provides invaluable help in processing various RAW and AdobeRGB images: They cover approximately 99 percent of the AdobeRGB color space. Images captured in RAW format and then converted to AdobeRGB can be displayed on the monitor with outstanding accuracy. Thus, the bright blue of the sky and the deep green of the forest are displayed realistically on the device, in contrast to monitors that use the sRGB color space. EIZO monitors are also extremely useful when performing printing tasks: They practically cover the entire CMYK color space (including ISO Coated and U.S. Web Coated color shades). The test of print quality can now be performed directly through the screen, which means that the work stage of checking the test print can be omitted.

With the ColorNavigator software, the monitor can be calibrated quickly, easily and with a high degree of color accuracy: The device stores the calibration data directly in the Look-Up-Table, so they are quickly available at any time. Various elements such as white point, gamma and brightness values ​​can be adjusted by the user based on their needs. The calibration takes place automatically based on the factory settings, which is why its accuracy and speed are unique.

Adequate quality image processing can only be performed on properly calibrated monitors. Standard software calibration usually requires a lot of time and thorough user knowledge. The CS2731 device was equipped with ColorNavigator software enabling hardware calibration. With its help, even users without the necessary technical knowledge can perform the calibration in just a few simple steps. Advanced users can adjust brightness, gamma, white point, and other calibration data by entering target values ​​numerically. Hardware calibration of the monitor requires neither a computer nor a graphics card. The CS2731 device can also be used as part of existing systems.

The image display of LCD panels differs from module to module. For ColorEdge monitors, therefore, the exact measurements of each device and the perfect adjustment of the screens are already carried out at the factory.
