Eich Günter - Katharina and más elbeszélések

“The experiences from which we are created are always fundamentally the same, no matter in what guise they come, in the form of people, forests, or thoughts; often, when one of them loosens the firm ground of the soul and turns the past into the present, we only hear the melody, but we do not know whether it has always been discernible to us, or whether we think we hear only its echo." ;GÜNTER EICH (1907–1972) is one of the most original and significant lyricists of German literature after 1945, a poet with an original voice of happiness "dwelling hidden in the ravines", aloof, but with an experimental spirit, who also wrote popular audio plays, dramatic and prose works. His often lyrical prose texts show undeniably structural features: they are characterized by defiant scale, elegy and irony. His fallen heroes are still lovable figures, authentic reminders of the path-finding decades after the war.
