Edith Nesbit - A dragons könyve

Edith Nesbit (1858 – 1924) was a pioneer of fairy tales and fantasy literature for children. His classic fantastic tales such as The Enchanted Castle, The Seventh Son of the Fisherman and The Five Children and the Thing made him a well-known and beloved author in our country, and it is almost impossible to get hold of his books second-hand. The theme of the book The Book of Dragons is grateful and popular: the dragons - of all kinds - appear on the pages of the book to bring cloudless relaxation to children. Some of them are fun and mischievous, others are downright scary, and many are wild and unpredictable. One is made of ice, another takes shelter in the post office, and another scaly giant takes the largest elephant in the zoo. There are even those whose peaceful purrs soothe and comfort a toddler. Well, who can stand up to these fascinating creatures? Of course, they are daring little heroes, mostly children aged 8-12, and an evil prince, and even an entire football team, which disappears in the fiery breath of a brutal dragon rising from the pages of an enchanted book. Our volume contains eight stories and is available to readers in Hungarian for the first time. The book is decorated with Cintia Vaspöri's lovely drawings, each story is supplemented with an original and charming graphic. We recommend this fascinating book to all fans of fairy tales, with new wonders on every page, written by the author with subtle humor, intimate love and endless imagination.
