Koi is a leisurely-paced building and optimizing board game that brings Japanese aesthetics to life on the tabletop. Players create their own lake with the help of cards and spatial elements: bridges, stone lanterns, statues and water lilies are placed around the water, while the koi fish swimming in it appear on colorful, transparent acrylic tiles.

The decisions are simple, yet serious: when to expand the pond, when to bring in new koi, and when it is worth building on the harmony of the existing elements. The cards chosen from the common offer determine the strategy in the longer term, so in addition to your own plan, you must also pay attention to the moves of the other players.

The game also offers a separate two-player mode, with its own fine-tuning to keep the experience tight and exciting even with a smaller team. The completed ponds have a unique appearance, so the Koi also functions as a real table decoration.

Game time: 45 minutes, for 1-4 people, recommended for ages 10 and up, Hungarian edition with Hungarian game rules.
