Kútfőtöredékek is a historical work by Dr. Ignácz Szombathy that offers insight into the early past of the Carpathian Basin and the fate of its peoples. At its centre is the history of the Iazyges, a people mentioned in ancient sources.
The book examines in detail the four-century presence of the so-called relocated Iazyges in the central regions of Hungary, up to their merging into the Hun Empire. The author aimed to clarify the origin and Hungarian identity of this group in order to enrich national historiography.
This 160-page paperback from Nemzeti Örökség Kiadó is a substantial read for anyone interested in Hungarian prehistory and the distant past.
