Dr. Gyarmati Andrea - Szeretetmorzsák (2021)

It has been several decades since the teenage girl Andrea Gyarmati, the greatest promise of Hungarian swimming, a two-time European champion at the 1972 Munich Olympics, despite the hopes of the entire country, did not become an Olympic champion with a gold medal due to a few miserable tenths of a second.

I think that's when the country locked him in his heart and hasn't let him go since. Mainly because Andrea showed life that not only victories can make someone a winner.

This is when the chorus usually says: "it's easy for him with such a family background!" Yes, Andrea does not come from just any family, her father Dezső Gyarmati, her mother Éva Székely, her ex-husband Mihály Hesz could all put gold medals in the display case, she had to prove herself among them.

And she didn't find herself in the pool: she became a doctor, a pediatrician who already treats the children of her first patients, as she puts it, her adopted grandchildren. Then he started writing, with great success. What is this if not victory? In his latest book, Szeretetmorzsák, we can read about the loving, sad, humorous, emotional and touching moments of his entire life.
