Tomás Forró, a Slovak journalist and war correspondent, managed to achieve what few of his colleagues did - he won the trust of people living and standing on both sides of the conflict, both civilians and non-civilians. They let him into their apartments, their lives, the trenches and bunkers, and shared their stories and personal, often literally gut-wrenching, experiences with him.
