Product description
DJI Focus Pro is DJI's first independent AMF (Automatic Manual Focus Management) lens control system, which offers operators a highly knowledgeable, comprehensive focusing solution, thereby ushering in a new era of human-machine collaborative focus control.
Completely new Grip handle, versatile capabilities
The redesigned DJI Focus Pro Grip features 2.5 hours of power, intuitive on-screen controls, automatic calibration and data storage for 15 lens types, Bluetooth start and stop recording, and manual recording for an exceptional LiDAR focusing experience, even without a Ronin stabilizer.
Touch screen parameter settings, LiDAR view synchronization
Equipped with a color touch screen, the Grip supports LiDAR and motor parameter settings and can display the LiDAR view in real time, giving the operator full visibility of all aspects of the shot.
Automatic calibration, efficient and convenient use
The DJI Ronin app has built-in lens data that can be imported into the Grip's Focus Pro motor via Bluetooth. A single motor can store the data of up to 15 lenses.
Bluetooth connection, wireless control
The grip can connect directly to mirrorless cameras via Bluetooth to start/stop recording wirelessly. It can also be paired with the DJI Ronin app via Bluetooth to calibrate manual lenses. [1]
2.5 hour operating time, can also be used while charging
The Grip provides 2.5 hours of runtime for both the LiDAR and the focus motor. It also enables continuous use while charging via third-party PD fast charging batteries.
Advanced autofocus, one step ahead of everyone else. Longer distance, wider focusing.
The focus distance of LiDAR in the case of a human subject has now increased to 20 meters, [2] i.e. about three times compared to the previous generation, [3] so photography with a telephoto lens should not be an obstacle either. The 70° super wide focus angle of view easily adapts to edge compositions and close-up shots, significantly increasing creative freedom. 20m focal length for human subjects, 70° super wide angle.
More accurate, more stable focusing
The improved LiDAR now works with 76,800 ranging points, a 77% increase compared to the previous generation, [3] and thanks to which the system can more sharply detect the edges of the human subject, while effectively reducing focus seeking. In addition, with LiDAR's 30Hz refresh rate, focus is reliably locked even when the subject is moving quickly. 76,800 LiDAR ranging points, 30 Hz LiDAR refresh rate.
Smarter focusing
Tab mode, you can switch by dragging left or right.
AF subject detection and tracking
With the help of new AI algorithms, more reliable human and vehicle recognition can be achieved. Even if the subject is momentarily obscured by something, LiDAR quickly regains focus.
AF subject change
For multi-subject scenes, focus can be quickly switched between different subjects.
Adjustable AF focus speed
The autofocus speed can be adjusted in five steps. Lower levels result in softer focusing, while higher levels enable faster, more sensitive focusing.
Selectable AF focus area
Two modes are available for the focus area: Wide and Flex Spot. In Wide mode, LiDAR can automatically detect and focus on human subjects and vehicles. In Flex Spot mode, the user can freely select the objects to be focused manually.
Flexible combinations for different scenes
Focus Pro consists of four main modules; these are the LiDAR, the motor, the grip and the hand unit. The cameraman can flexibly combine these modules according to different filming needs.
Camera operators working alone can use the LiDAR autofocus to significantly improve the efficiency of shooting, thereby achieving outstanding creative results. Teams of multiple people can use the handheld unit to perform precise focus control for more complex visual storytelling. Focus Pro boasts robust capabilities that can be used for a wide range of shooting scenes and genres.
AMF, human-machine cooperation
With the ground-breaking AMF mode, which is presented for the first time in both the hand unit and the grip, DJI Focus Pro sets a new standard in human-machine cooperation in focus control, thus meeting a wide range of creative needs.
The tangible focus
In AMF mode, the front control ring on the grip (or the focus button on the manual unit) rotates simultaneously with the operation of the autofocus. This allows the operator to see the focus status on the monitor and intuitively sense the autofocus operation by touching it with his fingers, which allows him to
