DIGITUS DN-651140 Gigabit PoE Splitter

The DIGITUS DN-651140 Gigabit PoE Splitter converts 48 V DC power carried over an RJ45 Ethernet cable into 12 V DC for the connected device. This allows network equipment to be powered without a separate power outlet. The module supports Power over Ethernet applications in Gigabit Ethernet environments with a LAN speed of 1 Gigabit.

The splitter complies with the IEEE 802.3bt standard and is compatible with IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at. It supports Alternative A and Alternative B connections and delivers a maximum output power of up to 51 W. An automatic detection algorithm enables power delivery in line with IEEE 802.3at. The wide input voltage range covers 36 V to 57 V DC.

For protection, the unit includes thermal shutdown and short-circuit protection. A high-efficiency DC/DC converter and LED indicators showing power consumption complete the feature set. The splitter is designed for mounting on a DIN top-hat rail and weighs 100 g.
