This Delock SAS cable connects internal SAS devices, such as an HDD backplane with a Mini SAS HD connector, to a controller that offers four SATA ports. On one end is a Mini SAS HD SFF-8643 plug, while the other end provides four 7-pin SATA sockets and one 8-pin socket with a sideband connector strip. It is designed for internal SAS connections in server and storage environments.
The cable follows the Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) specification and supports data transfer rates of up to 6 Gb/s. Metal clips on the SATA connectors hold the cable firmly in place, so it stays secure once plugged in.
With a length of approximately 0.5 m, the cable suits compact chassis and server setups where short, tidy connections are preferred.
