This cable connects devices and modules to a USB header on the motherboard. The connector is a 10-pin USB 2.0 header socket with a 2.54 mm pitch, so it plugs directly into a matching header inside the case or on the board. Data transfer runs over USB 2.0 at speeds of up to 480 Mbps.

The wiring uses 28 AWG conductors for the data lines and 24 AWG for power. At around 25 cm long, with a black jacket and an outer diameter of about 4.7 mm, the cable is easy to route neatly inside a chassis. Pin 10 is keyed, which helps prevent incorrect insertion.

The cable weighs approximately 30 g and comes in a resealable plastic bag.
