Debreczenyi Miklós - Az ősmagyar writing néhány hazai s oroszországi emléke
Product description
Miklós Debreczenyi made a discovery regarding Hungarian writing that even scholars of his own time could not really handle. In other words, he translated fragments that no one knew until then. With this, he became an outstanding scholar of Hungarian language and prehistory research. In the introduction to his book, he writes the following: "Did our Hungarian ancestors, before they became Christians, have any writing skills adapted to the peculiarities of our language? ̶ a question to which I dared to answer without any hesitation: it was. And not only for the reason that led János Jernei to make the declaration that he also chose as his emblem, but mainly because among the Székely people, if he is small in number, he still has so many memories, based on which we can form a fairly accurate picture of him. This writing has recently been called "Székely runic writing" and thus it has been included among the specialties of Székely... It is much more: it is the ancient common treasure of all Hungarians." The work is a reprint version of the original edition published in 1914.
