Dave Eggers - Atyáitok? - Hol vannak ők? És a próféták örökké élnek-é?

Astronaut Kev suddenly finds himself on an abandoned military base, chained to a post, and some strange figure wants to ask him questions. He says they know each other (as it turns out they went to the same university) and he doesn't want any harm, just to understand things. Because he cannot live with everything becoming more and more incomprehensible to him in his country. For example, why Kev can't fly to the moon. Why is there no money for that, if America can fight all sorts of unnecessary wars in distant countries?

This is how the tense, disturbing novel of one of the most popular American writers of today begins, in which the author - with his kidnapper hero, the average American Thomas - searches for answers to the bitter questions of today's American society.
And if we feel the struggle of this troubled young man, maybe we can better understand why the Americans chose a man like Donald J. Trump as their president and why they want to "become great again".
