Daniel O Malley - A bástya

Myfanwy Thomas wakes up in a London park - surrounded by the dead.

With his memories gone, he is forced to rely on information left behind by his former self to survive. He soon discovers that he is a Bastion, a high-ranking spy for a secret agency that protects the world from supernatural threats. However, a brick is integrated into the body, who wants to kill him.

As he struggles to avoid this, he discovers a man with four bodies, a lady who can enter his dreams, children who transform into deadly warriors, and a conspiracy of terrifying proportions.
Exciting and humorous. The Bastion is a wildly original first novel for readers who like imaginative spy stories.

The Bastion will be the first on my Best Book of the Year list. The opening page is a gem in itself and the sequel just keeps getting better and better... It provides amazing entertainment. — Charlaine Harris on her blog
