Daniel Godfrey - Új Pompeji

During the race to deploy renewable energy sources, one of the giants accidentally stumbles upon a revolutionary new technology: it becomes possible to transfer material from the historical past to the present.
Nick Houghton, a history student preparing for his PhD, is speechless when the company Novus Particles offers him a position as a consultant. But why do they need a non-existent PhD student from a third-rate university? And what happened to Nick's predecessor? Well, his friend Ronnie has a convincing conspiracy theory about everything. And Novus Particles plays a major role in quite a few. In ones about missing people.
The company's new project is bigger and more secret than ever: they want to raise living people from Roman-era Pompeii, which is on the verge of certain destruction. And Nick may be given an important task in this plan. If the conspiracy theories don't turn out to be true.

After the publication of his first book, many saw the young English author as a worthy heir of Michael Crichton. And not by chance. The multi-threaded, twisty plot grabs the reader like the wild horses of an ancient chariot race... on a modern highway!
