Dagmar Haager - Numerológia and tarot lexikon

The esoteric science of numbers, nowadays called numerology (from the Latin number 'numerus'), deals with the symbolic value of numbers. Each number has a specific numerical or arithmetical value, which is called numerical names when expressed verbally, and digits when expressed graphically. In other cultures, such as Eastern peoples, numbers are used like the letters of the alphabet. But even if the names and digits come from any culture, their numerical value is always the same. In every period, we find numerous examples of the special importance of numerical symbols in the gray everyday life of people. Symbols represent a specific meaning, idea or meaning, which otherwise can only be expressed in pictorial form with great difficulty. Belief in the hidden meaning of numbers dates back to the distant past. People living at a primitive level of development could only count and used numbers to solve their everyday problems. The Tarot is a series of images that uses arcana to express what it has to say, thus revealing the hidden content in our lives. Everything you need to know about the theory and practice of numerology, as well as the connection to the tarot, can be found in this lexicon.
