- Germinates: in 7-14 days
- Harvest: 5-6 weeks
- Grows best: 18°C-​​24°C
- Please note that romaine lettuce is heat sensitive and grows best at temperatures between 18 and 22 °C. If the temperature is higher than 75°F (24°C), germination is inhibited.
- You don't need to thin any seedling for all of them to develop!
- Romaine lettuce grows best when the lamp has only one arm! If the light is set too low, it can burn your blooming plants. If the light is set too high, the plants will be leggy and produce less fruit.
- You can harvest the leaves gradually, starting at about three to four weeks, by first picking off the larger outer leaves. Cut off each leaf gradually working your way towards the heart of the plant until the pod is no more than five to six weeks old.
- We recommend harvesting the entire pod in one go, five to six weeks after planting. As the pods of the plant age, they may lose their nutritional value.
