There is no limit to the number of seedlings per capsule for this herb. Just let them all grow out!
All you need to grow basil is a lamp arm. If the stems are almost touching the lamp, just cut them back.
Pruning basil stems prevents them from flowering and giving them a bitter taste. But if you want your basil to bloom, stop cutting the plant, let it grow! If you still want to harvest leaves, keep pruning.
Basil loves to be cut! You can occasionally remove individual letters. But for the sake of growth, it is recommended to pinch off the entire top - this will grow two new shoots within a few weeks and increase the yield.
Got some basil leaves left? Don't worry, basil is great for drying, so you can enjoy it later.
Please note that basil is an annual plant. It does not last forever. If more than twelve weeks have passed and the plant looks old, it is time to replace the capsule.
