Lettuce is a leafy vegetable that is a rich source of vitamin A and vitamin K. In addition, lettuce has anti-inflammatory properties, lowers cholesterol, helps control anxiety, and has many antioxidant properties.

- Please note that lettuce is heat sensitive and is best grown at temperatures between 18 and 22 °C. If the temperature is higher than 75°F (24°C), germination is inhibited. Also, the plants tend to twist at high temperatures, which in turn can make the taste bitter.
- Immediately after sprouting, lettuce grows slowly, but once it has sprouted, its growth will soon accelerate. There is no need to thin the seedlings, just let them develop!
- Lettuce grows best when the lamp has only one arm! If the light is set too low, it can burn your blooming plants. If the light is set too high, the plants will be leggy and produce less fruit.
- We recommend harvesting the entire pod at once, approximately five weeks after planting.
- It can also be harvested gradually, approximately three weeks after planting, by first picking off the larger outer leaves. Cut off each leaf gradually, moving towards the heart of the plant, until the pod has grown for up to five to six weeks.
- It is an annual plant and has the best nutritional value five weeks after the pod is planted. Start using lettuce leaves before the plant gets old and loses its characteristic flavor.
