The CHERRY G84-4700 is a compact numeric keypad with a USB connection, well suited as an add-on for notebooks and PCs. Its 21 keys can each be programmed with up to 24 characters, and four additional programmable function keys can be labelled individually. The digits work regardless of the Num Lock status, which is particularly useful when working on a laptop. The decimal separator can be selected, and an external standard keyboard can be connected to the device.

The keys use Cherry ML mechanical switches for precise key actuation. Measuring 132 x 90 x 36 mm and weighing 185 grams, the keypad takes up little space on the desk and is suitable for both left- and right-handed use. The 1.75-metre cable provides ample freedom of movement.

According to the manufacturer, the MTBF is 550,000 hours and the keys are rated for around 20 million keystrokes. The keypad is compatible with Windows and Linux.
