Captain Organic Kombucha Ginger Lemon is a ready-to-drink fermented tea with a sparkling, bubbly character, produced from certified organic ingredients. Kombucha is made by adding a live culture of yeasts and bacteria to sweetened tea, which ferments into a drink that the manufacturer describes as rich in B vitamins, organic acids, amino acids and enzymes.

The recipe combines filtered water, cane sugar that is transformed during fermentation, stevia leaf tea extract and green tea, with natural ginger and lemon flavourings. Each 400 ml bottle is unpasteurised, so the live cultures are preserved.
