This pea protein granulate is made from yellow peas and offers a plant-based alternative to minced meat for vegan cooking. Per 100 g it provides 55 g of vegan protein according to the manufacturer, along with a high fibre content of 15.5 g.
Soak the granulate before use, then drain and squeeze out the water. It can then be used in the same way as minced meat, for example in rissoles, stuffed cabbage, casseroles and bolognese sauce.
The product contains no milk, lactose or soy, making it suitable for people with these allergies. It is also free from cholesterol and saturated fat and contains around 20% branched-chain amino acids (BCAAs) such as leucine, isoleucine and valine.
