An old African priest and a woman searching for the secrets of her future... In the first part of the series, we get to know the young Veronica, who, after completing her studies in Europe, returns to her family's sugar cane plantation after many years. On the girl's side, we can also discover the beauties of Cuba at that time: the azure shores of the ocean, the green tropical forests and the red-glowing lands... But we also find darkness: Veronica is unable to come to terms with the inhumanity of slavery, moreover, she is alarmed by strange, ominous sounds at night, and during the day he is oppressed by the secretive atmosphere of his parents' house.
