Brand, Arthur - Hitler lovai

Arthur Brand, a Dutch art treasure investigator, is invited to a meeting by one of the most dangerous figures in the world of the art trade to ask for his help in locating a statue and establishing its authenticity. The answer would also lift the veil on one of the great mysteries of the Second World War: what actually happened to Hitler's favorite sculpture, the "Stepping Horses", which disappeared during the bombing of Berlin.
Brand follows the statue: disguised as a Texas oil tycoon, he dives into the Nazi underworld that still exists today, where neo-fascists and former KGB agents make the rules, and relics of the Third Reich change hands for millions of euros. The investigation becomes increasingly risky when Brand sets a trap to catch criminals trying to sell the two bronze horses on the black market. But who is he really hunting? And can he reach his goal before his true identity is revealed? Hitler's Horses is a complicated adventure worthy of a John Le Carré novel, a chronicle of one of the most extraordinary art treasure heists in history.
