The previous 4 -channel model is fully compatible with the new model allows 4 independent recording and playback channels, but now contains 4 additional channels that can be used by developers to configure the card in any combination of up to 8 recording or 8 playback channels. This means that the Decklink Quad 2 allows each of the 8 3G-SDI BNC connector to choose the direction between fixing or playback in SD and HD format up to 1080p60 and as a complete independent channel.
