Product description
The B + W filters are made of brass alloy with excellent physical properties and high-purity, distortion-free, thick Schott glass, with a particularly precise design, state-of-the-art manufacturing technology and the highest quality standards. Finally, different types of surface treatment are provided to complete the perfection of B + W filters. From the raw materials used to the final touches, 100% "Made in Germany". B + W clear filters (factory code: 007) are primarily used to physically protect the front lens of the lens. It transmits the reality you want to capture to the film or sensor through the optics without distortion, in its original colors, with absolutely minimal light loss (<0.5%). Clear filters differ from UV filters in that they do not filter out a specific frequency range from the wave range of incoming light, but only behave according to the natural UV filtering of the glass. In practice, this means that for digital machines (except in extreme situations) no difference is detected between the clear and UV filters. For UV-sensitive negatives, a single blue shift may occur when using clear filters with high levels of UV radiation. For film machines, we usually recommend a UV filter, and for digital machines, both types of filters are perfect. This filter is equipped with eight layers of surface treatment on both sides, which provide anti-reflection and dirt resistance, among other things. In addition, it has a nano coating, which has a moisture-repellent effect and makes cleaning very easy. This filter comes with an XS-pro mount, which is also great for use with thin-angle, wide-angle lenses. They are also equipped with a front thread, so that an additional filter (eg CPL) or accessory can be attached, as well as internal nail lens caps.
