The Visconti-Sforza tarot, made in the middle of the fifteenth century, is one of the oldest and most complete tarot decks that have survived. Many pages of the card commissioned by the Duke of Milan, Filippo Maria Visconti, and his successor, Francesco Sforza, show members of the Sforza and Visconti families in period clothing. The card was originally made for the then popular card game called "triumph", but in the next three centuries it began to be used for divination, and today we mainly attribute this role to it.
