The USB repeater cable amplifies the passing USB signal and allows you to connect a USB device significantly more than 20 meters away if passive cables are used. You can connect several repeater cables one after the other.
One of the great advantages of the ADR-220 extension cord is the built-in mains plug. The current provided by the USB bus proves to be sufficient in most cases, but in the case of devices with higher consumption, it may prove to be weak, but this is solved by the external power supply.
The extremely compact size allows trouble-free installation of electrical cables or cable systems.

Power supply:

- The cable and connected devices are powered via USB bus (5V - 500mA bus mode).
- For most USB devices, power supply via the USB bus is sufficient and no additional power supply is required.
- The active part of the cable contains a connector (Ø 3.5 x 1.3 mm outer x inner diameter) for the 5 V / 1-2 A additional external power supply.
- The power supply is not included, the AXAGON AC-5V2A mains adapter is recommended.
- When feeding the repeater cable with the adapter, an external 2.5" disk can be connected without needing its own power source for the disk.
- In the case of a longer USB path, connected with multiple repeater cables, the power supply of the USB bus may not be adequate, and the additional power provided by the repeater cable may be increased.
