The ATH-AVC200 from Audio-Technica is an entry-level closed-back headphone with a headband, designed for home studio use as well as listening to music and watching films at home. Its newly designed 40 mm dynamic drivers are intended to deliver a cleaner midrange, while the ear pads surround the ear and fit snugly, supporting the detail of the midrange.
The adjustable headband is built for comfortable wear over long periods and keeps the headphone stable on the head. With a 40 ohm impedance, a sensitivity of 100 dB/mW and a frequency response of 20 to 22,000 Hz, it suits a range of playback devices.
The 3 m cable connects via a gold-plated stereo TRS jack, with both 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm plugs. The headphone weighs 210 g without the cable.
