Product description
ASUS ROG Swift OLED PG32UCDM3 (or often just UCDM3) is ASUS' latest flagship model using 4th generation QD-OLED technology. While the base PG32UCDM is based on the 3rd generation, the "3" designation here refers to an update to the panel technology and connectors.
The most important differences and extra functions compared to the basic model:
This model already uses the so-called Tandem OLED (or two stacked OLED layers) technology. This has two huge advantages:
Extreme brightness: It is capable of a peak brightness of up to 1300 nits (in HDR mode), which significantly surpasses previous OLED monitors.
Longer life: Since two layers share the load, the panel is less prone to burn-in and ages more slowly.
Connection: DisplayPort 2.1 (Full Bandwidth)
This monitor is one of the first to receive a true DisplayPort 2.1 connector. This enables 4K resolution at 240 Hz without compression (DSC). This means clearer image quality and lower latency with the latest (or future) video cards.
Artificial Intelligence (ROG AI Assistant)
ASUS has built in an AI processor that helps you while playing:
- AI Visual: Automatically recognizes game type and optimizes colors.
- AI Crosshair: The color of the crosshair changes dynamically compared to the background to always remain clearly visible.
- AI Shadow Boost: Enhances dark details without burning out bright parts.
Improved KVM and USB-C
In addition to the built-in KVM switch, the USB-C port now provides stable 90W fast charging for connected laptops, while image transmission remains uninterrupted.
In summary: This version is made for those who are looking for the brightest OLED experience and want to take advantage of the bandwidth provided by DisplayPort 2.1.
Are you wondering if your video card already supports the DisplayPort 2.1 standard or should you stick with the earlier, more affordable model?
