ARCTIC COOLING Liquid Freezer III 280 A-RGB is a premium All-in-One liquid cooler (AIO) that offers powerful cooling capacity for modern processors with a radiator size of 280 mm.

The Liquid Freezer III is ready to use immediately thanks to the pre-installed pusher configuration cooling fans. The fan cables are integrated into the jacket of the hoses, so only one cable needs to be connected to the motherboard. With the included MX-6 thermal paste, you have everything you need for a quick and easy installation.

Liquid Freezer III is multi-compatible with Intel and AMD sockets. In the future, Intel will launch the new Arrow Lake processors with the LGA1851 socket. Full compatibility is guaranteed. All Liquid Freezer III can be used without restrictions with Intel's new LGA1851 socket.

Intel's Independent Loading Mechanism (ILM) deforms the CPU by pushing more than 40 kg into the socket at two points. This puts pressure on the PCB, the chip, and the solder layer between the chip and the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader). With high heat loads, this can lead to long-term problems. ARCTIC's mounting frame does not deform the CPU, significantly reduces the mechanical load on the CPU, is quick and easy to install, and allows the cooler to be screwed to the back of the CPU. As a result, mechanical stress on the motherboard and CPU is minimal, cooling performance remains constant, and installation is quick and easy.

Motherboard voltage converters often operate at maximum temperature in combination with high performance CPUs. To compensate for the missing airflow of the tower cooler, the Liquid Freezer III uses a redesigned VRM fan. The 60mm PWM controlled fan allows for almost silent cooling of the socket area when VRM cooling is insufficient, in poor airflow or especially in overclocking cases. This enables continuously higher loads and a longer service life for the voltage converters.

The fan cables are hidden in the casing. For the Liquid Freezer III, only the pump head connectors need to be connected to the motherboard - no additional cable routing is required. There is no need for extra distribution cables, which simplifies installation and improves the overall look.

Two connection cables - two control options:
    - Separate control: Using the distribution cable with three separate connectors, the pump, VRM fan and cooling fan can be controlled independently. This allows, for example, the VRM fan speed to be controlled independently of the CPU, as well as to be adjusted analogously to the temperature of the voltage converters via PWM.
    - All in one: Like the Liquid Freezer II, this allows the entire unit to be controlled through a single connection that outputs the speed of the cooling fans. The pump, voltage regulator and cooling fans can thus be easily controlled with a single PWM setting.

AMD has been using a multi-chip chiplet design for its Ryzen desktop processors for several generations. Unlike Intel CPUs, the heat source in these processors is not located in the middle, below the IHS (Integrated Heat Spreader), but is slightly offset. AMD's mounting solution therefore has a 5mm offset to achieve optimal heat dissipation.

The cooling surface of the 38 mm thick radiator was increased by 23% by increasing the number of fins. This allows not only better heat dissipation, but also a larger liquid volume. As a result, heat build-up in the water cooling system is slowed down and power and temperature peaks can be effectively managed over longer periods of time.

ARCTIC relies on the proven P fans, which have already won numerous awards for their outstanding performance. The P series is particularly suitable for use on heatsinks and radiators with a high lamellar density. Thanks to their high static pressure, they achieve significantly better results compared to fans designed for high air circulation.

ARCTIC uses standardized 3-pin cables instead of proprietary connectors. This not only ensures compatibility with most motherboards, housings, controllers and additional lighting systems, but also enables software control with the most common control programs. The daisy chain function also ensures that each LED displays a unique color at any time, offering countless combinations for all preferences.

Some motherboards are not compatible with Liquid Freezer III due to oversized SSD coolers in the M.2_1 slot. A suitable M.2 cooler is provided free of charge for the affected motherboards.

    Main features
    - ARGB lighting – addressable LED effects for RGB display options.
    - Compatibility with Intel and AMD platforms (such as LGA1700 / LGA1851 and AM4 / AM5 sockets)
    - Dimensions of the radiator: approx. 317 x 138 x 38mm with a thicker design that allows for lower temperature spikes
