The sword and sorcery genre has never been so fast and bloody! In The Red Mists, your hero bravely charges forward to battle evil sorcerers, bestial apes, and winged terrors while pillaging long-forgotten crypts and freeing captive ladies. The Red Mist focuses on sword-wielding heroes, while wizards and mages are feared and hated opponents.
The characters are defined at least as much by their desire for carnage, gore, and selfishness as by their muscles, reflexes, and instincts. In a few minutes, you can create a character that can be used to play through long campaigns.
The Red Mists RPG is a game by independent author Bill Edmunds, who adapted the heroic sword-wielding familiar from the stories of Conan, Elric, and Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser to a Freeform Universal (FU) system. The game is fast-paced, fast-paced and narrative-driven, with only the players deciding the outcome of their actions – by rolling a few six-sided dice. The storyteller does not have to roll.

5: normal success, i.e. Igencha
4: borderline success, i.e. Yes, but
3: borderline bad luck, i.e. No, but
2: normal bad luck, i.e. No
1: critical failure, i.e. No, and
In combat, opponents have a HENT value (Hasbaszúr, Eltipor, Nyisszant, Tönkrezúz), and if the attack roll is good enough, the opponent will lose a random body part. This can be the head or even the trunk... And with anonymous opponents, the question is not whether you managed to knock one of them down, but whether you throw up with one blow. Heroes cannot be HUNTED and have nine lives to survive even the deadliest adventures. This may sound unfair at first, but it really reflects this style, and so the characters bravely wade into the thick of battle, throwing aside all caution, just like the heroes of novels and comics.
The characters don't cast magic - they fight it. You have five Traits: Defiance, Cunning, Instinct, Agility, Muscle. You also have five Impulses that you can use to improve your rolls: Taming, Obsession, Looting, Self-Defense, Massacre.
You get experience at the end of the adventures (whether they were successful or not), for squandering the acquired wealth as spectacularly as possible and for using and playing your Impulses.
