The decoction of Adamo peppermint leaf can be used as an appetite stimulant, carminative, bile stimulant, nerve relaxant, antispasmodic in case of menstrual disorders. For disinfecting the digestive tract and urinary tract, as well as against stomach and intestinal inflammation and headaches.

The main active ingredient in peppermint is menthol, which aids digestion and relieves pain. It also relieves spasms of the smooth muscles of the digestive organs, so it is a choleretic and antispasmodic.

It has a cooling effect, because it excites the cold receptors and thus causes a feeling of cold – thus soothing the mucous membranes and the skin. It is a popular additive in oral care products, as it not only has an antiseptic effect, but also provides pleasant breath.

It can be particularly well used for digestive system disorders caused by stress or disordered eating to stimulate the muscles of the digestive system. It soothes nausea, seasickness, and unpleasant symptoms caused by jet lag. It relieves muscle and menstrual cramps, can start and advance menstruation, so it is not recommended for expectant mothers!

Preparation: boil a teaspoon of peppermint leaves in 2.5 dl of water. Let stand for 5 minutes, then filter. Even without flavoring, it has a pleasant aroma and is a real refreshing drink chilled in the summer.
