A Tiltott Sziget board game

The Forbidden Island is a cooperative board game for 2 to 4 players aged 10 and up, with a typical playing time of around 30 minutes. Players work together to recover four sacred treasures hidden on an island that is slowly sinking into the sea. Survival depends on teamwork and sound decisions, as every round the island floods a little further. The game was designed by Matt Leacock and has won the Mensa Select award.

As the island sinks, players must shore up its tiles and keep track of the rising water with a water meter and marker. The box contains 58 cards, 24 island tiles, six pawns, four treasure figurines, a water meter, a water level marker and a rulebook.

The game suits family evenings and groups who enjoy facing challenges together. Each round calls for fresh choices, so no two games unfold the same way.
