Guangdong (Kuangtung) province is located in the south of China, between the eastern and western half of the world, and as a result of its economic development, it is the "first" in the country in many respects. As China's most significant "port" and the birthplace of the maritime Silk Road, it was the earliest to enter into trade relations with Southeast Asia, the Arab and European worlds, and became a meeting place of ideas and cultures. During the opening and reform period, as a special economic zone opened to the outside world, it began to develop both socially and economically and opened a window to the world.
Guangdong culture is diverse and inclusive. We compiled the three-volume anthology, containing poems, stories and essays, by selecting the works of contemporary poets, writers and essayists of the province. We tried to present the most varied picture possible, and we see the series as a buoy in the sea of ​​literature, or a bridge in the cultural relations between the two peoples, or perhaps a guidebook, with the help of which Hungarian readers can get to know and understand Guangdong province, China, and experience the life of the people there and feelings, which may not be very different from their own.
