The plot opens with a birthday pajama party of high school teenage girls.
At the suggestion of their new friend, Violet, they listen to her prediction
about the circumstances of each of their deaths.
Their prone companion suddenly becomes light and almost levitates as they are lifted.

Hypnosis? Violet's supernatural influence? One thing is certain: this influence, wherever it comes from, is deadly. Two girlfriends die, just as Violet predicted. A similar fate awaits the third. The main character, McKenna, together with her lover, Trey, confronts the graduate. Will they be able to defeat Violet?
