Gel varnishes (other names: gel varnish, gel varnish) are hybrid materials that harden under UV light and combine the advantages of artificial nail gel with the ease of use of traditional nail varnishes. The advantage of gel varnish is that (if it is prepared correctly) it is flexible, does not wear, does not chip, does not separate, can be dissolved (can be removed without rough filing) and is perfectly durable for up to 3-4 weeks! A revolutionary solution for you if you are tired of having to paint your nails again every day. Another advantage is that it forms a much harder surface than a simple nail polish, so it can help your nails grow, as it protects your natural nails from external influences. It is important to know that if you have very thin, fragile nails, gel varnish is not necessarily a good choice! In this case, ask for gel, porcelain, or any base gel reinforcement under gel polish, or choose gel or porcelain nails. In addition, in the case of weak nails, choose an oval, rounded shape, because they are less damaged compared to square shapes.

In the case of nails that are longer than your own, natural nails, gel polish is not suitable, as it cannot be used for nail extension or construction (but it can be applied to constructed artificial nails). In this case, choose artificial nails made of gel or porcelain. Unlike gel and porcelain, gel varnish is a flexible material, able to follow and tolerate the movement of the natural nail, of course only up to a certain limit. Artificial nail gels and porcelains are inflexible materials, which is also a significant difference.

Usage:

1. Preparation

Remove the previous polish from your nails. Wash/soak your hands thoroughly, and clean the dirt stuck under your nails with a nail brush.

Shape your nails into the desired shape with a nail file. Make sure it's the same length!

With a skin scraper, carefully push back the callus near the nail bed, if necessary, scrape it off. This is very important, because if the gel polish gets on the cuticle, your nail decoration may come off after a day or two.

Use Buffer to fluff up the surface of your nails. Thanks to this action, the varnish will adhere better.

Remove "dust" with a dust removal brush - not with your hands, because grease from your fingers can get on your nails, which prevents the gel polish from setting.

The last but essential part of the preparation is the use of Nail Prep. Dehydrating, degreasing, disinfecting, antifungal. You wouldn't want your skin to get lumpy under the gel polish, would you? You can't miss this step at home either!

2. Varnishing

Varnishing begins with bonder, which is an adhesion-promoting material. It cures under a UV or LED lamp.

After the bonder, the gel varnish can be applied. Work with relaxed, light but firm movements and strengthen the varnish at the tip of your nail. Make sure that you do not apply the varnish too thickly on your nails, and also that you work evenly and neatly. Tie the layer also with a lamp.

After it has completely set, the second layer of gel varnish can be applied.

With both layers, make sure that the gel varnish does not come into contact with your skin! If your hand still slips, correct it with an orange stick before tying.

If the second layer of gel varnish has dried, the top gel can be applied. The function of this is to make your nail decoration even more durable, stronger and brighter. Also tie it under a lamp. A wide selection of topcoats is available - there are matte, transparent or glossy ones - it's up to you what you want. However, be careful: if you are buying for home use and you are not a professional artificial nail artist, only choose removable ones!

3. The perfect ending

After the covering gel, your nails will remain slightly sticky. For this reason, it must be wiped with a gel fixing liquid, which you must apply with a lint-free paper towel (not lint-free cotton wool!). It's like washing traditional nail polish off your finger - just don't drag the wipe over the nail many times, just one or two strokes.

When we're done, it's worth applying a thin, caring layer of oil or a high-quality hand cream to the nail bed and your entire hand, so the area around the nails will be nice and soft.
